WELCOME

My name is Makayla Franklin, a graphic designer based in

Richmond, Virginia.

I am a VCUArts graduate with a B.F.A in Communication Arts - an all-encompassing program for commercial illustration, graphic design, comics, animation, and other types of story-driven work.

Currently, I am the Graphic Design Team Lead at Trill Magazine. I create Editorial Illustrations and mentor interns on the foundations of design.

Because of the variety in my education and my freelance experience, I am a highly adaptable designer who can work in different styles, but creating bold, moody work is a personal favorite of mine.
